For children examined at Austin Ryan Optika through our MedVue™ comprehensive examination program, our Stellest™ program includes a comprehensive eye examination, professional frame and lens fitting, an initial follow-up to evaluate the prescription and eyewear fit, and continued monitoring of your child’s vision and myopia progression.
We also accommodate children who have received their prescription from another eye doctor. Our opticians will carefully select and fit the appropriate eyewear and provide a follow-up fitting evaluation.

What Are MiSight® 1 day Contact Lenses?
MiSight® 1 day contact lenses by CooperVision are daily disposable soft contact lenses specifically designed for children with myopia.
Unlike traditional single-vision contact lenses that primarily correct blurry distance vision, MiSight® 1 day lenses are designed to do two things at the same time:

Not every child with myopia is automatically a candidate for MiSight®.
At Austin Ryan Optika, we begin with a comprehensive eye examination and myopia-management evaluation. Our doctors consider your child's prescription, age, eye health, progression history, lifestyle, ability to safely wear contact lenses, and other clinical factors.
If MiSight® is appropriate, we will develop an individualized myopia-management plan and teach both you and your child what to expect.
Learning to Wear Contact LensesFor children who have never worn contact lenses, our team provides hands-on insertion and removal training.
Your child will learn:
Before independent wear, your child should be able to safely insert and remove the lenses. Parents are encouraged to participate in the training, so everyone understands proper lens care and wearing instructions.
Consistency Is ImportantMiSight® is not simply a contact lens purchase. It is part of an ongoing myopia-management program.
For treatment to be effective, lenses should be worn consistently according to the doctor's prescribed wearing schedule. Our program generally emphasizes wearing MiSight® lenses for at least 8 hours per day, unless your doctor provides different instructions for your child.
